Report: Rocco Baldelli withdraws from Mariners' manager search
Minnesota Twins manager Rocco Baldelli (5) stands on field against the Kansas City Royals prior to a game at Kauffman Stadium. Rocco Baldelli has withdrawn from consideration for the Seattle Mariners' vacant managerial job, citing "family considerations," The Athletic reported on Monday.
Baldelli, 45, managed the Minnesota Twins for seven seasons and was considered a front-runner to replace Dan Wilson, who was fired on Sept. 27 following a 76-86 campaign.
The 2019 American League Manager of the Year, Baldelli compiled a 527-505 record with three playoff appearances during his tenure in Minneapolis from 2019-25.
Baldelli has spent the past year working with the Los Angeles Dodgers as a special assistant and advisor to president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman.
